For anyone reading this who is interested in the craft of astrology – please be aware that these personifications of time will bend towards our need to believe in such a meaning making machine.
These thought structures may serve as a useful scaffolding to explore oneself by offering a poetic breath of wisdom concerning polarities and the progression of time, astrologic craft is, however, completely limited by a quality of separating parts through contrast that are actually spreading outward from the same root. These personifications of time we see explored through early Hellenistic astrology are tied to seasonal cycles that begin on the Spring Equinox and because of this are opposite those of the southern hemisphere.
I love the process of exploration, but there is no freedom when we hold anything too tight, there is only a sense of getting stuck in time that is not now. Thank you 🙂

– The file itself is the exact 92MB file I use when printing my canvas 3 foot by 4 foot posters at my local print shop here in Vermont and because of its size it may take a minute or two for your computer to render the .jpg file at full size, so please give this process a moment to open after downloading. If you have any issues at all, please let me know. I work as a carpenter building homes here in Vermont but always check my emails in the evening and respond to them in a timely manner.

The intention in this design is to represent an artistic syntheses between basic arithmological thought & Modern / esoteric astrologic craft/philosophy, with specific attention on the thought structures surrounding the number 3 known as the ‘triad’. This poster suggests that relating the layer of ‘3’ within the pythagorean tetractys to the realm of time itself creates some wonderful connection between these traditions.

created here is based on a number of historic and modern sources including the arithmological thought structures of Pythagoras of Samos and later Neo-pythagorean thinkers mixed with both early Hellenistic and early modern esoteric astrologic craft combined with the archetypal mythical time personifications of modern western astrology.
